The buildings are as accurate a representation as I could make (yes, I took some liberties, using patterned fabrics!) of three houses is Kleine Houtstraat in Haarlem. The canal and trees are wishful thinking! I don't normally put people into my work, but I do like adding some life, in this case a couple of dogs.
